Fine art photography is my passion. Luckily, I’ve had the chance to participate in many solo and group gallery exhibitions in both Los Angeles and Alabama, including several of LA's Cannibal Flower projects and Alabama's Bare Hands Gallery.
My personal past has had a huge influence over my photographic vision. Growing up in Alabama was a defining experience, to say the least. The culture of the South is very rich in a history that can sometimes cloud perceptions of its present reality. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Art Studio with a minor in Art History. I expected I would become an oil painter.
Then the course of my life changed upon the discovery of a black & white printing class taught by the inspiring photographer, Sonja Rieger . Armed with my Canon AE-1 that once belonged to my father, I realized my love for making photographic images.
